拝啓　時下ますますご清栄のこととお慶び申し上げます。

この度ロンドンギャラリー白金では橋本雅也の個展「間なるもの－霧のあと－」を開催いたします。
2014年の「一草一木」（於　同ギャラリー）から5年ぶりの個展となる今回は、鹿の角・骨を素材とした彫刻を展示するほか、来年出版を予定しているコロタイプ印刷による作品集に先駆けて、額装した1点も展示致します。

また、本展に合わせて、円山応挙「驟雨江村図」や「春日曼荼羅」なども展覧いたします。

橋本の創作活動の原点は2000年にインドの山村を旅した経験に遡り、河原で木片を拾い磨いた際、手を加えることで自然物が内包していたものが表出してくる現象に興味を抱いたことにはじまります。
それ以降、透徹な視線は一貫して素材やモチーフの奥に向けられており、近年では鹿の角・骨を素材とし、作家の身近にある草花をモチーフとした作品で注目を集めています。

Five years after his 2014 solo exhibition Isso ichiboku (A Single Blade of Grass, a Single Piece of Wood), London Gallery Shirokane is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibition by Hashimoto Masaya, Things in Between - After the Mist. In addition to sculpture made of deer antler and bone, this time we exhibit a collotype printed photograph of his sculpture that will be published in an album of his work next year.

Also on display will be the paintings Sudden Shower Over a River Village, by Maruyama Okyo; and a Kasuga Deer Mandala from the Kamakura period.

Hashimoto's career as a sculptor goes back to his experience traveling deep in the mountains of India in the year 2000. There he picked up and polished a piece of driftwood found along a river, and was fascinated by the way in which the inherent qualities of such a natural object could be brought out by the hand of man. Since then, as he draws forth the forms of his sculpture, he has single mindedly sought to penetrate the depths of both the materials and the subjects he takes on. In recent years, he has used deer antler and bone to craft delicate sculptures of the flowers and plants he finds himself surrounded by in everyday life.

1978年岐阜県高山市生まれ。神奈川県在住。

Born in 1978 in the city of Takayama, Gifu Prefecture, and currently resides in Kanagawa Prefecture.
