展示替えのお知らせ【白金】 6月15日～7月13日

Exhibition Announcement in Shirokane, Saturday June 15 - Saturday July 13, 2019

梅雨の晴れ間にのぞく青空に夏らしさが感じられる今日この頃ですが、皆様いかがお過ごしでしょうか。

今回皆さまをお迎えいたしますのは山本梅逸の「瀧之図」でございます。

梅逸は江戸時代後期に活躍した尾張南画家で、花鳥山水図などを得意としておりました。

We hope this finds you well as we enter the rainy season, and summer can be felt in the glimpses of blue sky that peer through the clouds every now and then.

This time, the painting Waterfall by Yamamoto Baiitsu (1783 - 1856) welcomes visitors to the gallery. Baiitsu was a literati painter from the Owari region (present day Nagoya), and active in the late Edo period, specializing in flower-and-bird painting, as well as landscape painting.

展示中の「瀧之図」は、流れる滝の勢いや弾けた水滴が実際に目の前にあるかのように感じられる爽やかな作品でございます！

その他、天橋立を題材とした小屏風や阿吽の仁王像、神像などを展示しております。

It is a refreshingly cool painting- the surging flow of the waterfall and splash as it crashes down on the rocks make it feel as if before your very eyes.

Also on display is a small screen depicting Amanohashidate, a pair of guardian figures, and Shinto sculpture as well.

また越前壺や須恵器、床脇には紫陽花など季節のお花が生けられています！

まだ蕾のものが多いですが、じきに可愛らしい花をそれぞれ咲かせてくれることと存じます

We also have hydrangeas arranged in the large Echizen jar and Sue ware vessel next to the alcove, which are perfect for the season. A number of other small flowers are covered in buds, and will shortly bloom, adding even more color to the displays.
