New Year Exhibition 【Shirokane】 January 19 - February 23, 2013

ロンドンギャラリー【白金】より新春展覧会のご案内をさせていただきます。


『松』をモチーフとした作品を、各時代の作家がどう表現してきたのか。

室町から平成という４００年以上の時の流れを、『松』で感じていただけるかと思います。


室町時代からは、狩野元信　『松梅に小禽図』
桃山時代からは、作者不詳襖絵　『雪松図』
平成時代からは、杉本博司　『皇居松図』

It is now 2013, and we would like to bring in the New Year with an exhibition of works featuring pines, highlighting the various ways this tree has been depicted throughout the ages. Spanning well over 400 years from the Muromachi period to our current Heisei era, we hope that you will join us in appreciating the diverse expressions given to this age-old symbol of strength and resilience.

Works include
Pine, Plum, and Birds by Kano Motonobu (1476 - 1559) from the Muromachi period.
Snow on Pines (artist unknown) from the Momoyama period
Pines of the Imperial Palace by Sugimoto Hiroshi from our current Heisei era
